I'm Gia Karkera, an Industrial and Product Design student at Cal State Long Beach. I care about making products that are beautiful to look at, intuitive to use, and designed with accessibility and sustainability in mind.

I found my way to industrial design through charcoal art. Spending time with charcoal taught me how to really see objects - how light wraps around a surface, how shadow defines shape, how texture tells a story. That foundation continues to inform everything I design.

Right now, I'm building fluency in tools like Solidworks, Keyshot, and Adobe Creative Cloud while sharpening hands-on skills in sketching, 3D printing, and prototyping. What excites me most is the space where technology and design overlap - turning ideas into things people can hold and use.
